Show Me Some Leg!

Can you believe that it was a mere seven years ago that the Bridge House’s Mr. Legs pageant was born? The first winner is probably gracing billboards in Times Square advertising socks, or so one imagines. However, as usual in the business of the beautiful, it’s the latest that’s hot.

On Saturday, July 19, the Eighth Annual Mr. Legs was a success once again. Generations Hall was host to the best men’s legs in the city of New Orleans. As promised there were all types of legs: “Short Legs, Skinny Legs, Sexy Legs, Hairy Legs, Muscular Legs.” Clearly the list could go on but Bridge House certainly got us at hairy. In addition to the pageant, there was live music, food and drink, a silent auction and a raffle. However, the real treat was for VIPs with the best views of the runway.

The fundraiser was a riotous time with creative costumes and lots of laughs. One favorite contestant exhibited a likeness to a new New Orleanian: the philanthropist movie star pushing a stroller full of her babies in her infamous combat boots. The winner was the contestant who raised the most for the rehabilitation organization supporting those suffering with alcoholism and drug addiction.

Thanks to Bridge House for organizing an event of humor and handsome gams while upholding a dedication to a worthy cause. Truly, the whole package.
