On April 22, female-founded ear piercing company Rowan opened its newest studio in New Orleans. We like this opening for a few reasons.
First, the company is female-founded. We love a powerful woman trying to make a difference in one area or another. Additionally, the owner Louisa Serene Schneider, who is based in New York, said on the company’s website that she wanted to create this business “with the intention to celebrate all the special, unique, and sparkly moments of life.”
A wedding is definitely one of those unique and sparkly moment in a couple’s life.
Whether the betrothed-to-be is getting a new piercing for the Big Day, or a bachelorette or bachelor squad is looking for something different to do in New Orleans while also documenting the trip, Rowan seems to be a fun, trendy and (most importantly) safe activity to do.
The company employs licensed nurses to complete all piercings, as well as using hypoallergenic jewelry and offering aftercare services via its hotline.
Additionally, if piercings aren’t your thing, the studio also carries an assortment of bracelets, necklaces and other accessories, so there’s a little something for everyone.
The company also has something called the “Rowan Surprise Box,” which the website says is like a monthly subscription box that comes each month for $29. For the box you can choose either gold or silver and each box includes a pair of earrings, an accessory, an affirmation card that “gives you a moment of reflection” and a sticker.
All around, we think this might be just the memorable token or activity that your bach bash or pre-wedding itinerary needs.
