Showing Up

The record-breaking temperatures and icy roads have slowed New Orleans down the past few days. However, activities will reve back up this weekend and next, especially in the wedding world. Bridal boutiques in the city and beyond are hosting multiple events sure to have brides saying “yes” to the dress.

First up, I Do Bridal Couture in Baton Rouge is hosting what it calls “the regions largest trunk show in the new year.” Rita Vinieris is sending two of her bridal lines to I Do Jan. 18 through 20. Rivini and Alyne are both exclusive to I Do in Louisiana and both shows will see special discounts applied.

I Do is also showing off Liancarlo’s latest collection Jan. 25 to 27. “One of the most sought-after couture lines returns with the latest collection,” reads the I Do website about the show.

Brides must book appointments for the shows, which can be done on the boutique’s website.

In New Orleans, the weekend of Jan. 26 and 27, Town & Country Bridal is hosting a Sottero and Midgley showcase. Members of team Maggie Sottero will be in attendance to help brides find their dream dress. Special incentives apply with dresses ranging from $1,200 to $2,500. Brides must book an appointment, which they can do on the boutique’s website.
