Each year, Conde Nast Traveler hosts a reader’s choice list where readers from around the world vote on their favorite locations, destinations, hotels and more. For another year, New Orleans has made the list of top destinations in the United States. Additionally, it was one of the few cities with a reader’s choice list for best hotels in the city.
The Big Easy ranked No. 4 for the U.S. top 10 big cities, with the write-up stating there is much more to experience in this “soulful city” than beignets, Mardi Gras or Bourbon Street.
“It’s Creole, Cajun, and French roots inform everything from the music on Frenchman Street to the food and cocktails in the French Quarter over to the Bywater,” said writer Valerie Marino.
In addition to making the list of one of the best cities, which we think was obvious, Conde Nast Traveler readers rated New Orleans’ top 10 hotels. Though New Orleans is full of big, boutique and hidden gem hotels, the ones that made the top list could make for a romantic staycation before you say, “I Do,” or a picturesque pre-wedding photography dream backdrop.
