The Women’s Guild and the Junior Committee of the New Orleans Opera Association worked together to host a magnificent party for the 40th Anniversary Opera Ball, held on April 12 at the Ritz Carlton New Orleans hotel. Over 300 guests were treated to a seated dinner and live entertainment by Bobby Cure & the Summertime Blues. Debbie Alciatore was the chair for the Opera Ball, themed “Romeo and Juliet.”
Preceding the main event, which raised more than $100,000 for the New Orleans Opera Association, Jacquee Carvin and Teresa Guzzetta chaired a patron party at the home of Henrietta and Terry Hall on March 2. This elegant soiree, which hosted nearly 100 guests, was catered with food and drinks by Patois restaurant. During the party, an original painting Jacob Vincent Manguno was unveiled.
The Women’s Guild and the Junior Committee are valuable assets to the New Orleans Opera Association and the money raised will help underwrite productions in the upcoming season.
