Tamika Jackson is co-owner of Junk Masters; this unique shop is located on Bayou Road just off of Broad Street near Esplanade Avenue. According to Tamika and her partner, Matthew Rosenbeck, Junk Masters is a vintage lifestyle store that features items ranging from home decor to electronics, plus vinyl records, clothing and local art. The shop contains many interesting one-of-a-kind finds that Tamika has discovered, and it also showcases Matthew’s intriguing art. On Saturday, Nov. 26, Junk Masters and the neighboring businesses will celebrate Small Business Saturday with a small block party. This national shopping holiday encourages consumers to shop locally. Local businesses will show off their wares along Bayou Road, and Tamika and Matthew cordially invite everyone to stop by Junk Masters at 2563 Bayou Road.
