NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Jason Patterson has presented and advanced Jazz as an art form in New Orleans. Additionally, he has provided professional career opportunities for musicians in New Orleans, across the U.S., and Internationally since the early 1980s. His endeavors started as a jazz enthusiast; he became widely known as the Director of the Louisiana Jazz Federation and produced its iconic “Jazz Awareness Month” every October when Jazz was brought alive in schools, plazas, and venues across New Orleans and Louisiana. He became the Talent Buyers, now owner, at Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro, the prominent Jazz club on Frenchmen Street. His dedication to Jazz stretched from New Orleans Jazz Celebration events to producing the University of New Orleans “Jazz at The Sandbar” series to the Nickel-A-Dance Swing series. As a Jazz enthusiast, advocate, presenter, and club owner Jason Patterson has influenced generators of musicians and music lovers by making Jazz accessible.
