Soapy Nails Are the Perfect Trend for Brides

For a few weeks now, depending on which social media platform you’re on, you’ve probably seen the term “soapy nails” come across your feed. From celebrities on the red carpet to nail artists’ viral videos, soapy nails are all the rage.

But what exactly are soapy nails?

What you might typically imagine when you hear the word “soapy” could be a few things – the milky white of a Dove soap bar or maybe the lavender tint of your local farmer’s market find. But when it comes to what’s trending on social, it’s quite simple.

The name refers to a clean look, as if you just washed your fresh, bare nails. The color simple, and the manicure classic. All which, we think, create the perfect bridal look.

There are varying opinions on the type of color used. Most go for a thin layer of beige or pink to match the nail bed, with a heavy top coat to give a glossy, straight out of the water look. Others will change the shade a bit and go for a milky white, like a bar of soap.

Neutral shades are our preference for “soapy nails,” and we’ve found a few that work perfectly across skin tones.
