Many couples have been affected by the state and national orders to stay at home while the country is trying to get a handle on the coronavirus pandemic. Parties and weddings have been cancelled and postponed. But, even if you are newly engaged or nearing the end of your planning process, there are still many ways couples can continue planning.

First, each issue of New Orleans Bride magazine has a timeline of events to help couples plan. Each aspect of the wedding is broken down into the months, weeks and days preceding the Big Day. Click here for the full list.

You can begin the search, if you don’t already have one, for your first dance song. Not only is this a big part of a traditional wedding reception, but it is also a fun moment for y’all to reminisce as a couple, dance in the living room and decide together what song will mark your new life as a couple.

One thing that doesn’t necessarily require an appointment or being near other people is getting your skincare routine together. Each issue of New Orleans Bride has countless skincare products, the latest trends and new routines to add to your regimen.

If you’re close to the Big Day, and everything has been planned and decided upon, one thing that you may have forgotten to consider is whether or not you are changing your name. If not, that’s great. If you are, then you have some planning to do. We broke it down for you in a two-part series, which you can read here and here.

Say yes to those bridesmaid’s dresses. You may have your gown picked out, but what about your attendant’s attire? We chatted with The Bridal Boutique by MaeMe owner Melissa Estess about finding the perfect dress for your bridesmaids.

With this guide, you and your groomsmen can decide on the look that suits everyone.

And finally, you can plan on adding those New Orleans traditions into your wedding by deciding on cake pulls. Click here to learn the history and where to get your set.
