Alliance Française de la Nouvelle Orleans held their annual gala Friday, Feb. 29 in the Versailles room at Le Pavillon Hotel. This year’s theme, “Au clair de la lune,” was inspired by an old French song.
A patron party, held at 6:30 p.m., allowed special guests to enjoy a champagne reception and auction preview. The main event began at 7:30 p.m., and featured a sit-down dinner with wine and, adding to the festivities, a silent auction. Music ensemble VaVaVoom performed for partygoers, who also enjoyed watching the dazzling circus acrobatics of the Crescent City Gymnasts.
Funds raised at “Au clair de la lune” benefited AFNO educational and cultural programs. The event raised nearly $7,000 for the AFNO, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary next year.
