NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Son of a Saint, the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering fatherless young men through mentorship, education, and community support, is thrilled to announce its upcoming Mentor Mixer and Recruitment Session. The event will take place at Urban South Brewery, located at 1645 Tchoupitoulas St., on Wednesday, May 22, from 6 to 8 p.m.
This dynamic event presents a unique opportunity for men aged 21 and up to discover more about Son of a Saint’s mission, sign up to become mentors, and actively engage in uplifting the next generation. Attendees will have the chance to meet with members of Son of a Saint’s dedicated staff and its Mentor Leadership Council, who will be on hand to discuss mentorship opportunities, roles, and responsibilities within the organization.
“At Son of a Saint, we believe in the transformative power of mentorship to inspire, guide, and uplift young men in our community,” said Son of a Saint’s Director of Community Engagement Will Jones. “Our Mentor Mixer and Recruitment Session provides a welcoming space for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of fatherless boys, and to learn more about how they can get involved. Throughout the evening, guests will have the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals, learn about the mentorship model offered by Son of a Saint, and gain insight into the impact they can make by becoming mentors. Beverages and light bites will be served, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere for meaningful conversations and connections.

Son of a Saint holistically supports youth between the ages of 10 and 21, providing mentorship, education, mental health services, travel experiences to expand horizons, as well as internship and career-development learning opportunities. The youth development nonprofit currently serves 350 young people across Greater New Orleans, including its cohort of more than 200 full-time mentees, as well as mentee alumni, and additional tuition scholarship recipients via its Son of a Saint Scholars program. The organization remains steadfast in its mission to inspire and uplift young boys, cultivating a supportive community that empowers them to break barriers and achieve success.
