NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Southern Food & Beverage Museum (SoFAB) will partner with FAIT | NOLA to host a floral centerpiece arranging workshop on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. in the SoFAB Rouses Culinary Innovation Center by Jenn-Air, located at 1504 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd.
Set your table apart this spring using natural elements to create the perfect unforgettable centerpiece to set apart your Southern luncheon. Allow nature to inspire your design using decorations such as locally sourced flowers, vegetables, and fruits as centerpieces or table decor.
Join the ladies of FAIT | NOLA as they walk you through the elements of designs they use to create stunning centerpieces. Guests will be instructed by FAIT plant mom, Kathleen Robinson. With over 30 years of floral design experience, Kathleen has a host of knowledge to help you create your perfect Southern centerpiece. SoFAB’s Jyl Benson will prepare a classic 3-course Southern luncheon.
After discussing the techniques, guests will create a smaller version of the table arrangement using various fruits, vegetables, and cut flowers. Guests should consider bringing their own gloves to protect their hands.
Cost: $100 per person, $90 for NatFAB Members. Workshop, three course luncheon, iced tea, water, and wine are included in ticket price. Seating is very limited.
