suzuki method (for adults and teens) | May 26-June 25, Mon. and Wed., 5-6:30 p.m. | Rehearsal studio, 4701 Freret St., New Orleans. Acclaimed Japanese director Tadashi Suzuki teaches his method, a rigorous
discipline that challenges the physical core of the actor and pushes the boundaries of an ensemble.

make-up art for stage (age 11-adult) | July 1-31, Tues. and Thurs., 5:30-8:30 p.m. | 4701 Freret St. Students will view live demonstrations and then go on to practice that skill on themselves or a partner. Artists will
graduate the course with a digital portfolio of their creations and their own basic make-up kit. Registration closes: June 24. Cost: $170.

costume design & craft technique (age 11–adult) | July 2-30, Wed., 6-8 p.m.; Sat., 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. | 4701 Freret St. Students will be assigned characters to bring to life through drawing, character development and specialized techniques such as fabric dying, fabric painting, costume aging and armor construction processes. Registration closes: June 25. Cost: $185.

improvisation (grades 7–12) | July 19 & 20, 1-4 p.m. | 4701 Freret St. This workshop will advance your skills in stage presence, confidence, teamwork, open-minded creativity and quick-thinking through different forms of improv. Registration closes: July 12. Cost: $75.

Summer Theatre Camps:
spectrum of theatre arts | June 2-7 (grades K-4); June 9-14 (grades 5-8); June 23-28 (grades 9-12) | 4701 Freret St. These camp intensives will train the young artist in acting, design and creation. Young artists will build skills and confidence through warm-up techniques, improvisation games, and rehearsal.

symphony of sound & Light (grades 4-8) | June 2-7, at SRT. Venture backstage and discover the magic of theatre through sound and
lighting design. The camp will culminate with a final presentation of the group’s work.

private eyes | July 10-27, Thurs.-Sat. at 8 p.m., Sun. at 3 p.m. Golden Eagle Theatre Company presents Steven Dietz’s comedy of suspicion as part of SRT’s City Series. Directed by Andrew Elliott and featuring Liz Mills, Keith Launey, Angela Papale, Staci Robbins and Leon Contavesprie.

Coming in September:
SRT starts the mainstage season with the Off-Broadway smash “Speech and Debate,” by young playwright Stephen Karam.
