Together, the Jewish Community Center, Jewish Family Service, New Orleans Jewish Day School and New Orleans Hillel held the spectacular Winners and Spinners! at Harrah’s Casino on Saturday, September 13. The night had it all with a hearty agenda. As a main attraction, guests were treated to the lively music of Motown with a dramatic Spinners concert. Other activities at the lavish setting included the popular “Big Ticket” raffle, silent art auction, desserts and cocktails, and a live sports and entertainment auction with Lee Zurik from Channel 4.
The Big Ticket Raffle had drool-worthy items: a two year car lease, two $5,000 shopping sprees, a $5,000 landscaping package, a 52-inch flat screen TV, a New York theater vacation package for two and a Mediterranean cruise for two. The lucky grand prize winner had the difficult task of choosing just one!
The night proved to be a big success with a large showing of supporters for the local groups. Recognition must go to the event committee: Lee Sucherman with JCC, Sheri Levine with JFS, Rick Perles with NOJDS and Diane Franco with Hillel, as well as to all those who contributed to the winning team.
