Spring Into Cocktails

This time of year, we are loving the weather and all of the fun and festival cocktails that come along with the season. There are a lot of places to go and things to do around the city, but bartenders around New Orleans are working overtime to come up with creative and fun drinks for us to enjoy.

Le Chat Noir (715 St. Charles Ave.) is a new spot we couldn’t resist popping into along the Avenue. The new Le Chat Noir has a classy drink selection and a happy hour, too. From 2:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, the bartenders have deals on a daily punch, beer, and glasses of wine. They also offer oysters to enjoy while sipping. It’s a great place to stop in on a nice spring day with friends.

The Bower (1320 Magazine St.) is a place all of our readers ask us to visit often, so we stopped in and found a great atmosphere and a good cocktail program. Here you can enjoy cozy outdoor seating offered on a spacious patio full of greenery. Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m., a handful of classic cocktails are only $7. This place is so fun. So, if you stop in tell them we sent ya!

New Orleans Art Bar (2128 St Claude Ave.) is a place we were dying to try out, and we are so glad we did. It, like many bars, closed due to the pandemic, but it’s back in full force. There is a lovely art gallery and there is a happy hour, which includes six drinks offered daily from 5 to 7 p.m. These drinks including a Cuba Libre, Sazerac, and gimlet all for under $7. This is, by the way, in the location of the old Genes Poboys. There is outdoor seating, too.

Of course, these are just a few places to visit this spring. If you have a fun bartender or happy hour for us to try, let us know so we can share it with cocktail lovers everywhere. Cheers!
