St. Michael Special School: The Chef’s Charity for Children

Tish Sauerhoff is the principal of St. Michael Special School. St. Michael Special School caters to students with major learning difficulties. The primary mission of St. Michael Special School is to provide students the opportunity to develop their Catholic faith, and to receive high quality educations, including religious, academic, social, vocational, and physical training. While the School does charge tuition, its tuition does not cover all of the school’s financial needs. Although St. Michael Special School holds several fundraisers throughout the year, perhaps the most popular is The Chef’s Charity for Children. This year, the popular event will be on Wednesday March 9, 2016 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Tickets are only $65, and event goers will get to see cooking demonstrations and sample dishes prepared by famous chefs, including John Besh, Leah Chase, John Folse, and Emeril Lagasse, to name just a few. For additional information and to by tickets, go to http://www.stmichaelspecialschool.com/chefs-charity.html or call 524- 7285.
