Inspiration for your wedding style can come from anywhere and anyone. Fashion risk taker and former reality TV star Olivia Palermo is known around the world for her style.

She spared no fashion moment for the biggest day of her life, her wedding to model Johannes Huebl.

Palermo looked stunning in a three-piece Carolina Herrera ensemble for her quaint nuptials held in a park. Unexpectedly, the socialite paired her cream cashmere sweater with a tulle skirt overlay  with floral details along the hem of the high front slit, which revealed chic white shorts. Yes, you read that correctly.

The best part about the star’s outfit is that any bride can take tiny inspirations or replicate the whole look for her Big Day.

Here are a couple designs the ladies of LTEC put together for those brides looking to add a little flavor and shake up their wedding look.

First, here’s Palermo with husband Johannes.

Look one adds a skirt and sweater combination, this time with a shorter sleeve. Both the short-sleeve cashmere top and flocked tulle skirt are available at J.Crew – found locally in Metairie.

The second look includes a long, fun maxi tulle skirt that can pair beautifully with a wool boatneck sweater, for colder months, or a short-sleeved floral lace cropped top. The skirt is available at Bliss Tulle’s website and the tops can both be found at J.Crew.

For shoes, we love taking a cue from Palermo and adding in your something blue. This can tie the whole non-traditional look together and add a nice pop of color. Palermo channeled Carrie Bradshaw from the TV show Sex and the City with her Manolo Blahnik satin pumps (available locally at Saks Fifth Avenue or here), but we like the idea of using a pair of heels from the actress herself via her SJP line. A few months ago we highlighted the new bridal shoe line from Sarah Jessica Parker. Both similar styles, the ‘Tempest’ pointy toe pump and the ‘Maddalena’ pointy toe pump will both add that extra something special (and blue) to complete the stunning look.
