It is so much fun watching the city come back to life and seeing how things have changed in the last year. Restrictions are slowly being lifted, which means many bars and restaurants are loosening the rules and allowing us back in. We are also enjoying the newly appointed outdoor seating options.
A Tavola Wine Bar (3413 Veterans Memorial Blvd.) has a happy hour you’ll love if you’re traveling to Metairie. Their specials run daily from 2 – 6 p.m. with wines by the glass and cocktails to go for $5. The premium cocktail selection, specialty cocktails are $6 and for $3 you can get a draft beer .
Blue Oak BBQ (900 N Carrollton) has smoky and sensational deals for the hungry and thirsty residents around town. The happy hour selections run Monday through Friday, 3 – 6 p.m. and the options are great. They include small bites and snacks, cocktails, drafts, wines by the glass, and house daiquiris. The fun also includes the outdoor seating and lots of neighborhood folks having a blast.
Galaxie (3060 St. Claude Ave.) is a true Bywater gem. The garage turned bar includes a fun front patio with outdoor seating. The happy hour runs until 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday with a menu that includes margaritas, beer, draft Rosé, Mezcal, Jalisco sour and many more. This bar has an extensive Mezcal selection, as well as frozen drinks and classic cocktails. There is also a great selection of natural wines and beers. We suggest enjoying these refreshing drinks with friends.
