NEW ORLEANS (press release) – On Feb. 21, elected officials and the New Orleans Super Bowl LIX Host Committee, led by the New Orleans Saints and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, will recognize its Committee Chairs, announce sponsors, provide a Caesars Superdome renovation update, and announce its Supplier Diversity Program during a panel-style press conference.
New Orleans is no stranger to the Super Bowl. As they will discuss, Governor Jeff Landry, Mayor LaToya Cantrell, Mrs. Gayle Benson, Host Committee Chair Marcus Brown, and Host Committee Leadership are ready to welcome hundreds of thousands of football fans into Louisiana as the Crescent City celebrates 55 years of hosting with its record-tying 11th Super Bowl – the 4th Super Bowl for the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation to serve as the staff.
In partnership with the NFL, the New Orleans Super Bowl LIX Host Committee will debut its Super Bowl LIX Supplier Diversity Program. This is an opportunity for local diverse businesses throughout Greater New Orleans to compete for contracts related to the Super Bowl. Committed to supporting minority, woman, disabled, LGBTQ+ and veteran-owned businesses, the program provides professional development, networking and subcontracting opportunities for members accepted into the program.
The Host Committee will also re-introduce Entergy as a Founding Partner of the New Orleans Super Bowl LIX Host Committee, and Host Committee Chair Marcus Brown will announce the leadership of several subcommittees and major event sponsors, including new partner Ochsner Health— displaying a community that’s ready to rise to the occasion and echoes the Host Committee theme, “it’s what we do.”
Being built to host Super Bowl LIX, New Orleans is also eagerly anticipating the completion of a $450-$500 million renovation of the Caesars Superdome, which will also celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025. Panelists will give an overview of those renovations and what spectators will experience when they attend the big game, set for Feb. 9, 2025.
