The 15th annual “Celebration of Life Luncheon” was held at the New Orleans Marriott in the Grand Ballroom. Debbie Buchler and Dawn Miller served as Co-Chairs of the event. Co- Presidents Edith Catching and Kathleen Robert presided.
The honorees were welcomed by Honoree Liaison Connie Albert and presented on stage by Master of Ceremonies Richard Buchsbaum, who was “thinking pink” while sporting a pink wooden bowtie.
Honorees attending were Samantha Battaglia Arnold, Lynn P. Creel, Heidi G. Dugan, Holley Haag, Diana Noveck, Jo Ann Paulin, Linda Phillips, Janice Watsky and Elizabeth Williams. Honoree Suzanne Lindley was unable to attend.
The tables were decorated with glowing witches’ brooms, which were there to “Sweep Away Cancer.”
A $30,000 gift from Kenneth Bogle on behalf of Pelican Energy Consultants LLC put the result profits over their goal. All profits from Cancer Crusaders go to research at Tulane and LSU.
