Sweet Valentine

Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays that may not be for everyone. But, celebrating with the one you love is always a good idea. This year, many businesses around the city are rolling out specials and discounts to help you and your honey celebrate the right way.

We will continue to update the list as new and update information on other events and specials arrive in our inbox.

First, Kendra Scott’s new Spring 2019 collection debuted Jan. 23 with a few pieces being perfect for date night or chic accessories to gift to your bridesmaids – because Galentine’s Day is an important holiday, too. In addition, Kendra Scott has announced that 50 percent of proceeds from every purchase of its Heart Health Charm will support the HeartGift Foundation – whose mission is to provide life-saving congenital heart defect surgery to children around the world. Give the gift of gorgeous jewelry while helping give the gift of life.

What says romance more than penguins? (Kelly here: the answer is nothing.) The new Audubon Supper Club series is set to launch with a Valentine’s dinner with their “colony of lovebirds” – the penguin couples that live at the Aquarium. Housed right in the Gulf of Mexico exhibit, couples can enjoy a three-course Valentine’s dinner. Guests will sip on cocktails and enjoy a three-course dinner while learning all about the romance, and apparent drama, among the penguins. The Audubon Nature Institute says the supper club series is to raise awareness about sustainably sourced seafood and highlights environmentally-friendly catering practices.
