Taste of Africa Mini Fest; Saturday, July 27

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The NOLA Caribbean Experience & Afrobeat NOLA are teaming up to bring New Orleans this one-of-a-kind event!

The Taste of Africa Mini Fest showcases African & African diaspora cuisine, music, dance, and culture.

The event will feature various African arts & craft vendors as well as delicious cuisine from Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, Jamaica, Haiti and of course New Orleans.

The musical lineup consists of live African dance & drumming performance by Nkiruka African Dance Company, Nigerian singer Fire, Togalese singer Kogjo, DJ T-Roy, Nigerian DJ Ojay, Majek Fingers Drumming, and Afro-Exotica. The event will be hosted by Kogjo the Hypeman of Afrobeat NOLA and will also have an African dance competition and Pepper Soup eating competition.

Taste of Africa NOLA takes place Saturday, July 27th from 4:00pm-Midnight at the Deja Vieux Food Truck Park, 1681 Religious St.
