Tennessee Williams Festival Kicks Off Second Half of Free Writing Workshops

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival announces an exciting second half of the season line-up of Coffee & Craft, a series of free writing workshops taught by New Orleans writers.

In partnership with Baldwin & Co., TWFest offers these writing workshops as opportunities for any level of writer to hone their craft. The workshops promote New Orleans writers, especially those with new books out, to our writing community. Writing genres covered in the workshops include fiction, poetry,  and creative nonfiction, as well as include fantasy, historical fiction, mystery, science fiction, and possibly young adult fiction. TWFest seeks to be an accessible source of inspiration, information, and connection. With Baldwin & Co.’s commitment to being a creative community hub, the partnership offers writers a chance to learn more about the craft of writing and expand their writing community.

Coffee and Craft Workshops take place on Saturdays at 10 a.m. at Baldwin & Co. on Elysian Fields. The workshops run about an hour and half with a craft discussion given by the author, generative exercises that everyone works on together, and time for questions at the end. These workshops are a wonderful opportunity for writers to work on their own writing and share space with other writers.

The line-up for the second half of the season includes these exciting, talented writers:
