‘Tis the season to be thankful. Can we just take a moment to thank all of you for your spirited support of us over the years? We enjoy bringing you fun, flavorful cocktail ideas and places to enjoy a great happy hour. The year ahead promises to be wonderful, full of cocktail trends, flavors and savory recipes.
As a way to say, “thanks,” we want to give you ideas for fall cocktails with a variety of ingredients – everything from great bourbon and whiskey to vodka. We also will share recipes of the best fall cocktails.
Here are some flavors to consider using in fall cocktails:
- Apple
- Apple Cider
- Pomegranate
- Fig
- Cranberry
- Chai
- Pumpkin
Festive Fall Cocktail Garnishes:
- Cinnamon stick
- Star anise
- Dried orange slices
- Fresh cranberries
- Apple slices
Some of our favorite recipes are easy for you to make if you’re entertaining this holiday season.
Seasonal Mulled Wine:
It’s similar to mulled apple cider, and is great to enjoy during the holidays. While many mulled wine recipes call for added sugar or honey, consider just a hint of natural sweetness with the apple cider. It will warm you up and make your house smell amazing.
- red wine
- 1 orange, sliced into rounds
- 6 whole cloves
- 3 cinnamon sticks, plus more for garnish
- 3 star anise
- 1/4 c. honey
- 1/2 c. brandy
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ingredients. Bring to a simmer not a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer gently over low heat for 10 minutes.
Serve warm and garnish with more citrus slices and cinnamon sticks
Holiday Sangria:
- bottle of Pinot Grigio
- 2 1/2 cups fresh apple cider
- 1 cup club soda
- 1/2 cup ginger brandy
- 3 honey crisp apples, chopped
- 3 pears, chopped
Combine all ingredients together and stir, stir, stir. Refrigerate for at least an hour. Remember, brandy can also be used, you can use ginger brandy to give it more autumn flavor.
