In honor of Women’s History Month, The Knot – wedding magazine and online registry resource – released the Women’s Artist Collective through The Knot Invitations, a subset of The Knot that acts as an online, one-stop shop for invitations. With this new collection, The Knot is celebrating women and their creativity. The collection features three invitation suites – including save-the-dates, response cards, reception cards, programs, menu cards, place cards, thank you cards, and, of course, the invitation itself – created by Asahi Nagata, Perla Sanchez and Nancy Noreth. Additionally, The Knot launched a social media contest to find a fourth creative to add to the collection. Interested female creatives can share their original artwork on Instagram and hashtag #TheKnotArtistSearch. The final artist will receive $1,000 and their designs will be produced as a paper suite featured on The Knot and available for purchase.
The designs featured so far offer different vibes and styles, each with a floral element, perfect for many types of couples and their different wedding themes. Our favorite of the bunch, unless a local New Orleans artist is picked for the fourth spot, is the Vintage Garden suite from Nancy Noreth. Noreth is from Los Angeles and says her designs and her floral patterns are based off of her grandmother’s garden and home.
“We are proud that The Knot was founded by a woman and continues to operate with women making up the majority of our employees. It has always been an important part of our mission to support and empower women of all backgrounds at The Knot Worldwide,” said Dhanusha Sivajee, chief marketing officer for The Knot Worldwide in a press release about the launch. “We’re excited to use our products to uplift the work of and provide a platform for fellow women to share their endeavors. It’s our honor to showcase the artistry of Asahi, Perla and Nancy with the release of The Knot Invitations Women’s Artist Collective.”
