The Best Places to Watch the Saints Game This Weekend

The voice of the New Orleans Saints, Mark Romig, told me recently that his mother says there are two seasons in New Orleans: football season and waiting for football to start season.

While it might just be preseason, starting this Saturday Saints football is officially back. And, if you’re like me, the vibe heading into this new season – with Coach Kellen Moore at the helm, Tyler Shough ready to go and Cam Jordan officially back – is exciting and hopeful!

Today, we’re sharing a few places that we’ve enjoyed watching the Saints games over the different seasons. (Note: it’s certainly not the only places you can watch, just a few of our favorites.)

Bayou Beer Garden

Bayou Beer, and even Wine, Garden are always a good idea, but especially to watch sports. They’re even redoing their larger patio area with additions that are sure to be the best each Sunday.

Cooter Brown's Tavern

A classic Uptown bar where the sports, the drinks and the oysters are the main focus. While they haven’t shared their game day plans on social media yet, we can guarantee that you can watch the game at Cooter Brown’s this season.

Copper Vine

Near the Dome, and another CBD favorite Walk-Ons, Copper Vine usually has some specials or tailgate-like events happening during the Saints games. It’s one of the spots to be on game day and the wine options and bites make for a perfect pre-game party.

Along with The Rusty Nail, this spot has lots of space, good food and good people. Also… oysters! They’re also serving “Girl Dinner” for COOLinary and what’s better than salad and a spritz?

We believe you can rent out tables or areas for Saints games, but we haven’t seen them advertise that yet!

Wrong Iron on the Greenway

While this is a mostly outdoor establishment, more ideal once “fall” hits, Wrong Iron has more TVs than one can count and you can usually guarantee all of them are watching the Saints during the games.
