The Best Restaurants on the West Bank

New Orleans is known for its food and restaurants, but just a hop across the Mississippi River – on the West Bank – there are a great number of restaurants that adds to the exceptional culinary landscape of the area.

There are many that deserve a shoutout, but these are the ones we’re loving right now.

Saint Claire

New on the scene, but definitely a hotspot lately for many. We’re ordering the citrus poached shrimp, lamb bolognese and a martini!

Chicken’s Kitchen

A plate from Chicken’s Kitchen is always a good idea. Fried chicken, oxtail, fried catfish, mac & cheese – whatever you get, you can’t go wrong!

Thai DJing

Thai D-Jing and whatever Chef Suda has on the menu is always going to be delicious! On our list is the green curry, steamed dumplings and the mango sticky rice!

Nighthawk Napoletana

Take the ferry, have a pizza and you’re night is set. You can’t go wrong with any of the pizzas, but our favorite is the Fay Belle with mascarpone, speck, arugula and lemon zest.

Banana Blossom

Banana Blossom is a favorite on the West Bank and another display of the area’s love of asian cuisine. They’re back from summer vacation and we can’t wait to get smoked pork belly ramen, kimchi rice and tofu and lamb chiang mai noodles!

Dough Nguyener's Bakery

Sometimes you just need something quick and easy that’s going to pack the right punch. The chicken lettuce wraps, garlic ramen noodles and breakfast options always are a hit!
