The Best Ways to Exfoliate

The thing about summer is, like it or not, you have to show your legs. Long linen pants and skirts are a fantasy. A scene in a catalog for folks summering in cooler locales. If your legs need TLC and/or are tragically pale (like mine) you’ll need to give them proper attention before the hemlines creep up any further.

If there’s one mistake I have made in the past, it’s skipping the first and arguably most important step. So, consider this post my public service announcement to, exfoliate! Ahead of moisturizing, waxing, tanning or any other beautification exercises, you’ll need a smooth palette. Skip it and the spray tan you paid top dollar for will wind up highlighting every crevice of your dry skin, creating a giraffe skin look. Great on pillows not on legs.

Not to worry, I’ve compiled a list of exfoliating products and treatments to get your legs ready for future short-skirted endeavors. Keep in mind, many of these products require a thorough review of instructions. Always talk to your dermatologist or aesthetician if you have sensitive skin or any other skin concerns.
