Julia Webb Bland is Executive Director of the Louisiana Children’s Museum located in the New Orleans Warehouse District. Julia explains that the Museum is all about a hands-on interactive experience for children, with a focus on educational content. One of the museum’s latest projects is a literacy center that will focus on introducing children to fundamental language and literacy skills that will help them in school. An exciting new exhibit – "New Orleans, Proud to Call it Home" – focuses on the city’s rich cultural heritage. In this exhibit, children learn about urban design, architecture and construction, and develop an appreciation New Orleans’ artisan craftsmanship and distinctive architectural styles. Listen here!
