The Emeril Group Announces Plans for New Restaurant in Downtown New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – 34 Restaurant & Bar is the newest restaurant from The Emeril Group. Chef Emeril Lagasse’s Portuguese heritage, inspired by his late mother Hilda Mederios, plays a significant role in shaping the restaurant’s identity. Chef Emeril began cooking with his mother at an early age, and he credits her for fostering his interest in the culinary arts and his passion for culinary traditions passed down through generations.

He has tapped son E.J., who serves as Chef Patron at the Lagasse flagship Emeril’s, as a collaborator on the project, underscoring the importance of family in Emeril’s culinary journey. The restaurant name ‘34’ represents the latest partnership between him and his son, Emeril Lagasse the third and fourth.

Located in downtown New Orleans, the experience will be inviting and transportive, anchored by tapas-style shared plates, and featuring a jamon bar and internationally influenced wine and cocktail program.
