What began as a hobby of sewing pet costumes has grown into something far grander for Allison Ward, founder and CEO of Pet Krewe, one of the leading pet costume and affordable pet food manufacturers in the country. While working a successful career sewing costumes for TV shows such as NBC’s American Ninja Warrior, Allison’s side project of high-quality pet accouterments took off through the virality of her Lion Manes for dogs. Through the encouragement and support of friends and family, Allison was able to expand her operation, hiring Chief Production Officer Brittany Sobert and Chief Strategy Officer Stacy Wherritt to expand the costume business nationwide, even partnering with legacy brands like Sesame Street.

Post-pandemic lockdown, Allison saw a need in the market for affordable, health-conscious pet food for cost-conscious owners. Today, Ella’s Best (Dog Food) and Salty Cat (Cat food and Cat Treats) are being sold in Walmarts, Dollar Tree, and thousands of grocery stores across the country to overwhelming success; with Allision receiving daily letters from grateful pet owners who are finally able to afford a healthy diet for their furry friends. From costumes to cuisine, Pet Krewe is leading the charge to keep America’s pets and their owners feeling and looking their very best.
