The art-filled home of Jill and Marc Winston was the site for
“Safe Sex in the Big Easy,” a fund-raiser held Oct. 19 to benefit Planned Parenthood of Louisiana and the Mississippi Delta. The site was very apropos because the art auction was one of the night’s big highlights. Works by David Halliday, Amy Weiskopf, George Dunbar and John Geldersma were just a few of the items that partygoers could bid on. Though, one had to be careful not to mistakenly bid on one of the Winstons’ pieces of art!
But the real focus of the night was on Mimi Bowen, who was bestowed with the Margaret Sanger Circle Award, given to those who are committed to Planned Parenthood and its programs to improve women’s well-being through health services, education and advocacy.
