METAIRIE, La (press release) – The Feil Organization is pleased to announce a complete remodel of the la Madeleine French Bakery and Café located in the heart of Metairie’s shopping district at the corner of Severn Avenue and 17th Street. Originally opened in 1995, this 4,109 square foot location was la Madeleine’s first restaurant to open in the New Orleans Metropolitan Area.

After 29 years, construction will begin to give the entire restaurant a facelift that includes new tables, chairs, flooring, paint and lighting. The new patio will feature a fire pit, soft seating with bistro style tables and chairs. Digital menu boards will be installed and the new “order at the counter” service style will be incorporated into the new design. The restaurant will be closed during renovations with plans to reopen early April 2024.
