The Garden District Book Shop Hosts International Launch of “Ignition: Superior Communication Strategies To Create Stronger Connections”

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – “Ignition: Superior Communication Strategies to Create Stronger Connections,” by author Matthew L. Moseley and Routledge/Taylor & Francis publishing is a book of dispatches from the front lines of communication strategy launching on June 4. To celebrate its release, The Garden District Book Shop will host a special live, in-person event with the author on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 6:00 PM in the atrium of The Rink (2727 Prytania Street.)

In “Ignition”, Moseley draws on his eclectic life experiences to investigate the link between success and effective communication. From choreographing a fine dining experience at the top restaurant in America, using rock stars to register voters, helping a national chain save its reputation after a gaffe goes viral, to serving as media liaison at the epic ash-blast send-off for author Hunter S. Thompson, Moseley identifies the principles that guide communication strategies toward their goals. “Ignition”is a must-read for anyone who wants to harness the power of communication.

Moseley will walk guests through his experiences followed by a brief Q&A with the audience. Afterwards, the author will be available to sign and personalize books. The evening will also feature live music by Papa Mali and The Garden District Book Shop will provide wine, water, and iced tea in partnership with Martin Wine Cellar. Tickets available on Eventbrite for $42.

“We are thrilled to host the launch of Ignition because it is a timely book about the value of effective communication and the tools to make stronger connections that are needed now more than ever.” says Christopher Tidmore, co-owner of The Garden District Book Shop. “Moseley is coming back home bringing with him a book of wisdom from his eclectic life experiences.”

“Working the Room,” one chapter of the book, is about Moseley’s time at Commander’s Palace during the early 1990’s with Emeril Lagasse. He learns directly from matriarch Ella Brennan about concepts such as Situational Awareness and the delicate dance of interacting with varied guests.

In extensive interviews with a wide variety of experts, including fighter pilots, business leaders, attorneys, and astrophysicists, Moseley tests universal communication principles, teases out new, provocative ideas, and anticipates how forming stronger connections will help us address today’s greatest challenges.

Ignition is attracting notable reviews:
