On Jan. 27, the 3 Ring Circus exhorted all to festively “Join the Circus.” This party, located at the Big Top on Clio Street, was a chance for this nonprofit arts education center to raise money and recruit new members.
3 Ring Circus—which is committed to rebuilding New Orleans through community development of the arts and culture—collaborates on productions, offers workshops and provides a place for showcasing an array of art and performances.
The party featured a delicious buffet from local restaurants Iris, Sara’s, Jasmine, Pepperoni’s, Oak Street Café, Semolina, Basil Leaf, Lebanon Café, Dante’s Kitchen, Mikimoto’s and Saltwater Grill. There were performances by Anthony Donado of Narcissy, Trey Ledford of Rusty Trawler and Marcus Bronson, a local bass player. There was also a spirited art auction—and 3 Ring Circus thanks filmmaker Charlie Brown, fund-raiser Toby Buchanan, and nationally known bass player Sandi DeMeo for their help. The money raised at the party will help 3 Ring Circus keep the Big Top as their home and maintain their programs.
