The Knot Predictions: Floral Frenzy

Recently, we highlighted some 2020 wedding trend predictions made by wedding magazine The Knot. Topping the list were couple’s providing entertainment and VIP-style perks in powder rooms and lounge areas, as well as interactive food elements, but this week’s trend adds a little floral pizazz to the mix.

The Knot says, “From decor to drinks, florals are used to make bold statements,” and this trend is something that, unlike the restroom revelry which gave us pause, we are fully on board with for 2020.

We like the magazine’s idea of using edible flowers, “florals are going beyond the bouquet with edible blooms in salads, ice cubes, water infusions, on top of desserts, drinks and more to elevate virtually anything at their celebration.”

In addition, The Knot predicts, couples will use florals to elevate the wedding’s color scheme and used to further a more monochromatic look. The Knot adds, “By grouping like-colored stems (think: burgundy dahlias, roses, ranunculus and scabiosa), couples are leveraging a single color in loads of textures to make a wow-worthy installation above the bar or reception tables.”

Florals add an aroma, a vibe and a can truly enhance a wedding celebration. We hope to see them highlighted in the year to come.
