The Luck of the Irish

A St. Patrick’s Day-themed party is just the thing for Raintree Children and Family Services.

Since 1926, Raintree Children and Family Services has served the area’s vulnerable youths through foster care, after-school programs, helping children with disabilities and housing abused girls at the Raintree House. To help fund all of these worthy programs, this year the organization held their “Paint the Town Green” gala. The St. Patrick’s Day-themed party was held on March 12, with a patron party at Ruth’s Chris Steak House followed by the gala and auction next door at Harrah’s New Orleans Theater. Guests donned their Irish-green best and enjoyed music by local favorite Burgundy and epicurean delights from the likes of Slice Pizzeria, Drago’s, GW Fins, Ernst Café, Gordon Biersch, La Louisiane Bakery, Mr. Mud Bug and Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Exciting live and silent auctions hosted by emcee Liz Reyes featured artwork signed by the Saints, wine, a fabulous vacation and fine dining.  All proceeds from the evening benefit the foundation and its continuing mission of help and healing.
