If you are a Louisiana art collector, Mid-Century-style furniture buff or small sculpture enthusiast, the upcoming Modern & Contemporary Art + Design auction curated by New Orleans Auction is for you. Collectible pieces by Louisiana artists like George Dunbar, Ida Kohlmeyer, George Rodrigue, George Dureau and Mario Villa are up for grabs, as well as works by 20th century Spanish born artists like Eduardo Chillida and Manolo Valdes. Additionally, Mid-Century and Postmodern furniture like chrome and glass tables by Leon Rosen or Charles and Ray Eames chairs and ottoman will be popular items. The auction will take place on April 18, so study the catalog and/or visit the items in person in advance. And of course, don’t forget to register to bid! Â
