Come to the opera and fall in love again – at your own peril! The New Orleans Opera Association presents Bizet’s Carmen Friday, October 4th at 7:30pm and Sunday, October 6th at 2:30 p.m. at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts.
Carmen is a mesmerizing gypsy loved and desired by many, but who remains true only to herself. First a soldier, then a toreador lose themselves to her hypnotic allure and bear the consequences of learning that Carmen lives life on her own terms.
Experience the drama and passion of this great music combined with powerful staging, beautiful singing and Bizet’s rich orchestration.
