We spoke this week about adding a romantic “last dance” into your wedding day plans. However, the first dance is still a significant tradition for many couples. It can be easy to pick the soundtrack to your Big Day, but what if you and your betrothed don’t have a “special song”?
Like we’ve mentioned, there are the quintessential artists like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and, Kelly here, my favorite the Four Seasons. But modern artists are giving the romance giants a run for their money – and we’re not just talking about our mentions from yesterday’s post, “Thinking out loud” and “All of Me” by Ed Sheeran and John Legend respectively.
Here is a short list of popular songs by modern artists that we suggest for those who haven’t yet decided on the music for their first dance:
“I Found You” by Alabama Shakes
“Blessed” by Thomas Rhett
“Like I’m Gonna Lose You” by Jasmine Thompson
“Beyon” by Leon Bridges
“Honeybee” by The Head and the Heart
“Forever After All” by Luke Combs
“Finally” by Halsey
“Yours” by Russell Dickerson
“January Wedding” by The Avett Brothers
“You are the Best Thing” by Ray Lamontagne
“First Day of My Life” by Bright Eyes
“Latch” by Sam Smith
“Mine Would Be You” by Blake Shelton
“That’s When I knew” by Alicia Keys
