From festive movies on the river to joyous lighting ceremonies, the Riverwalk has it all to help guests spread the cheer this season, including over 65 retailers for every gift to check off their list!

Black Friday Holiday Shopping Kick Off: Friday, November 26

Customers can jumpstart their holiday shopping on Black Friday with special deals from the Riverwalk’s 65+ retailers. Major brands including clothiers such as Nordstrom Rack, Forever 21, Gap Factory Store, Tommy Hilfiger and Johnston & Murphy; luxury stores including Kate Spade and Coach; and favorites Le Creuset, The Cosmetics Company Store, and Perfumania. | Extended Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

 

Free Movies on the Mississippi: Beginning Friday, December 3

Riverwalk’s annual Movies on the Mississippi series launches Friday, December 3rd. Guests of all ages are invited to enjoy the ambiance of the Mississippi River while viewing holiday classics. Snacks and beverages will be readily available, including hot chocolate (while supplies last). The first 50 parties to arrive will receive a free fleece blanket courtesy of the Downtown Development District.

Annual Menorah Lighting: Sunday, November 28

Chabad-Lubavitch of Louisiana will celebrate their Annual Grand Menorah Lighting at Riverwalk’s Spanish Plaza. Guests are welcome to experience the largest Jewish gathering of the year in New Orleans. Guests are invited to enjoy traditional Jewish music, a hot latke bar, kosher food, crafts, and more for the whole family. Members of the community will light the 11 ft wooden Menorah first built by Isak Borenstein, a Polish holocaust survivor who later moved to New Orleans, in honor of the beginning of Chanukah.
