Peter Moss is co-owner of Ted's Frostop. Many New Orleanians are familiar with the restaurant's mammoth root beer mug, a familiar beacon perched on the top of the popular hamburger eatery for decades. Hurricane Katrina toppled the signature mug that, until recently, sat upside down outside the shuttered restaurant. Peter and his partners have reinstalled the landmark mug atop the pole where it had proudly stood for more than half a century. The revival of Ted's Frostop will not simply offer New Orleanians the restaurant's unique ice cold root beer and Lotaburgers with their famous sauce. Ted's Frostop will restore a long-missed piece of New Orleans history that dates from 1955 on Claiborne Avenue. Patrons will not find any video games in this establishment, but they will find a pinball machine circa the1950s as they enjoy a Lotaburger and sip an icy mug of tasty Frostop Root Beer. Listen here!
