NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel is hosting its first Bourbon in the Blue Dinner on Wednesday, June 22.
This event will take place in the hotel’s famous Blue Room as a vest-pocket revival of The Roosevelt’s renowned Supper Club.
For $125, plus taxes and gratuities, guests can enjoy a gourmet 3-course meal created by executive chef Jason Schneider, tailored to the evening’s selections from The Sazerac Company.
Matt Ray from The Sazerac House will lead diners through the tastings while talking about the rich and compelling history of cocktails and culture in New Orleans and answering bourbon questions.
BOURBON IN THE BLUE DINNER MENU
o Introductory drink – Wheatley Lemonade
o First course – Tuna and Scallop Crudo-Watermelon, Avocado, Tomato, Pickled Fennel, and Coriander (paired w/Peychaud’s Spritz)
o Entree – Five Spice Crispy Duck Breast-Yam Puree, Brown Butter, Swiss Chard, Peach Gastrique (paired w/ Sazerac Cocktail)
o Dessert – Dulce de Leche Cake-Espresso Sponge, Dulce de leche Mousse, Caramel Crunch (paired w/ Sazerac de Forge neat)
o Lagniappe – Chef Rene’s Selection of Mignardises (paired with Columbo Coffee)
