The Time for Change is NOW

Most people choose not to exercise even though they’re aware of the social, emotional and physical benefits of regular exercise.

Three major reasons that many people choose not to exercise:

1. Lack of time: Time is the number one barrier to being physically active on a regular basis. Consider this, do you set a time to watch your favorite television program? Do you also set aside a time to exercise? It only takes 30 minutes of exercise, three times a week to reap the benefits.

2. Lack of knowledge: Many people don’t know how or where
to begin. The issue isn’t lack of information, but rather finding
the correct information. Regard
any activity that raises your heart rate for an extended time to be a worthy exercise.

3. Fatigue: People keep very busy schedules. Mental fatigue and stress can be alleviated with a few trips a week to the gym, a brisk walk daily or a bike ride. Just remember: “The only remedy for mental fatigue is physical activity and the only remedy for physical fatigue is sleep.”

Additional barriers also include:
Boredom
Lack of Incentive
Self Consciousness
Poor Health
Weather
Misconceptions
