The Wearing of the Green

On Nov. 7, the Girl Scout Council of Southeast Louisiana held a luncheon where former Girl Scout, City Councilwoman Jackie Clarkson took center stage at the Audubon Tea Room as the event’s keynote speaker.

Cookie bouquets adorned each table as centerpieces, while each guest received a box of Girl Scout “All Abouts” cookies.

“As we celebrate the 95th anniversary of Girl Scouting, our goal is to raise $95,000 which will help us expand Girl Scouting in our 13-parish jurisdiction,” says Donna Paramore, vice president of fund development.

Clarkson’s five daughters were all Girl Scouts as well, making her the perfect speaker for the luncheon, which had the theme, “It’s All About the Girls.”
