NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Join the New Orleans Museum of Art in the week ahead for the following programs and events:
- Wednesday, July 17, 12 – 3 pm: Artist Wafaa Bilal will activate his installation 168:01, a work that allows visitors to transform a stark white bookshelf into one brimming with colorful books that will ultimately restock a destroyed university library in Baghdad, Iraq.
- Wednesday, July 17, 3 pm: Musician Mahmoud Chouki will join trumpeter Steve Lands as part of an ongoing musical collaboration series titled Safar.
- Friday, July 19, 5 – 9 pm: Wafaa Bilal will return for Friday Nights at NOMA, musicians Keiko and Mateo will perform in the Great Hall, and Chef Knut Mjede will lead an Artful Palate cooking demonstration in Café NOMA.
