THNOC Reveals New Jazz Fest Backgrounds for Virtual Meetings

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – This year, there will be no physical New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival to enjoy, but that won’t stop fans from simultaneously celebrating and mourning the Fest that defines Spring in New Orleans.

Today, The Historic New Orleans Collection, the French Quarter–based history museum, offered a new free resource to help those festing amid social distance: 11 backdrops for virtual meeting platforms.

Available for download at the museum’s website, www.hnoc.org, the images capture crowd scenes from the 1970s, iconic performers, Mardi Gras Indians, and even the food vendors.

So, while you’re listening to your favorite past performances (perhaps on WWOZ), maybe even enjoying Fest Fare from Pythian Market Food Hall, use one of THNOC’s backdrops for the next call with family and friends. After all, if we can’t be at the festival, at least we can feel the spirit of the festival.
