Tipitina's Uptown and the Tipitina's Foundation (501 Napoleon Ave.) will host a benefit for school music programs tonight at 6 p.m. Galactic, Big Sam's Funky Nation, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, the Honey Island Swamp Band and many more will perform, and there will be an auction during the performances. Tickets range from $40 to $200.
The Cinema of the Garret
The Hatchery's Garret Theater presents "Das Kino von der Mansarde." Anita Berber, the notorious German ballerina, actress and nudist (basically, Madonna before Madonna), comes back to "life" to host a re-premiere of Eerie Tales. 4210 St. Claude Ave. (above New Orleans Shaolin-Do, at the rear entrance), 9 p.m.
