Cox Communications and Bravo brought Top Chef contestants Radhika Desai (season 5) and Richard Blais (season 4) to the Crescent City Farmer’s Market on Tuesday, April 14 for a cooking demonstration and meet and greet with New Orleans fans. Their stop in New Orleans was part of “Top Chef: The Tour 2,” a promotional tour for the show, traveling to several cities across the United States in a new, state-of-the-art customized traveling 18-wheeler semi-truck, with an expansive space to accommodate fans for each on-site demonstration.

Radhika and Richard greeted fans that gathered at the cooking demonstration near the back of the market, held at 200 Broadway Street every Tuesday. The two joked and answered fan questions while they prepared a sesame cake with ice cream, using Quaker Oats cereal, the event’s sponsor.

The New Orleans Wine & Food Experience was on hand, giving shoppers information about the upcoming event, promoting FEASTiVAL—NOWFE’s newest event – to take place on Thursday, May 21st at Harrah’s New Orleans Theatre, featuring Top Chef season 5 winner, Hosea Rosenberg and season 5’s Leah Cohen, Jamie Lauren and Jeff McInnis.
