Financial website WalletHub recently released their 2020 list of Best Places to Get Married and New Orleans has topped the list.
The rankings take a look at 180 cities around the country for the cheapest and most convenient wedding destinations that are also sure to provide a multitude of memories. Each of the 180 cities was measured in 27 different categories ranging from “most bridal shops per capita” to “best weather.”
Overall, New Orleans ranked 15 out of 180 cities – though we personally believe the score should be much higher – behind No. 1 Orlando, Florida and No. 10 Austin, Texas. A part of the rankings we were surprised to see was that New Orleans did not rank in the top 5 or even top 10 for most attractions, coming in at No. 11.
Other categories New Orleans ranked high in were “venues and event spaces per capita,” “hotels per capita” and “wedding chapels and churches per capita.”
